24 Hours of Le Mans : Bikers' Days Endurance Team

An excellent take-off

The 24 Hours of Le Mans that’ll take place this weekend, on the 17th and 18th of April, are an endurance in every sense of the word, ‘cause they already started on Tuesday! The organisers proposed some test sessions, which the Bikers’ Days Endurance Team took good use of to further adjust the settings of their Yamaha R1. The first rounds were very positive despite some problems with the suspension and the engine mapping.

As the rounds and modifications went by, Denis Bouan even set a lap time of 1.42.0, which is less than a second from the fastest competitors in the Superstock category and merely more than the top teams in the EWC category (1.39.5) with their much stronger Superbikes.

But a race such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans is not only won on the track itself, also in the paddocks the Bikers’ Days Endurance Team have already shown what they’re worth. With the look of the bike, their box structure, the professionalism and the team spirit, this team has already astonished many spectators. They surely don’t have to envy the official manufacturer’s teams.
Each intervention is done with the utmost seriousness but in a serene and friendly atmosphere.

Wednesday was the day of the administrative and technical controls, which the team passed with brio. The technical staff showing once again their know-how by solving the last issues and delivering an impeccable bike.

That was very important ‘cause this Thursday, the real work starts. After some free test sessions from 12h30 to 14h30, each rider will have to ride his first official lap times as from 16h30, followed by the obligatory night sessions that will take place from 21h00 to 22h15.
